Executive Assistant
Do you simply get things done? Are you looking to assist a team working on challenging projects from innovative wireless products to missions in space?

AEM Antennas is looking for a motivated Executive Assistant who has a flexible drive to be the right hand of a business executive in a leading support role.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Provide support including preparing presentations, reports, and maintaining calendars
  • Filter calls and emails to prioritize important tasks
  • Prepare notes in technical discussions, contracts, and agreements
  • Provide a leading support role in travel support and special projects
  • Prepare and complete expense reports and other financial data, analysis, project work, and spreadsheets
  • Prioritize conflicting needs and protectively handle matters
  • Follow through on projects to successful completion
  • Maintain online filing system and document organization
  • Any other tasks related to the above

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (required)
  • 2+ years working experience supporting an executive team (required)
  • English and French bilingual (required)
  • Experience supporting a hardware organization (preferred)
  • Experience handling sensitive information in a confidential manner (required)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook) (required)
  • Some experience using online tools (ie: Office 365, SharePoint) and other collaborative tools to help support your role (preferred)

Antenna Engineer
Looking for challenging projects working in space or on multi-disciplinary problems?

AEM Antennas is looking for an experienced Antenna Engineer who has an entrepreneurial drive to work closely with customers and hands on experience to drive the project forward using state-of-the-art tools.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Use an array of design tools to model antennas and predict their performance
  • Work on R&D efforts and prepare proposals for future projects
  • Collaborate with customers in design reviews
  • Manage suppliers to ensure careful manufacturing and assembly of antenna products
  • Supervise and review tests to ensure projects meet the specification
  • Project management tasks to verify and report project progress in terms of time, cost, and schedule
  • Any other tasks related to the above

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or above in electrical engineering or relevant discipline (required)
  • 3+ years working experience as an RF engineer (required)
  • Member of a Canadian professional engineering organization (required)
  • Strong background in passive electromagnetics (required)
  • Background in multi-disciplinary projects including working with mechanical engineering (required)
  • Comfortable with electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS, FEKO, CST and circuit simulation software like Ansys Electronics Desktop, ADS, Qucs Studio (required)
  • Programming knowledge in multiple languages such as python, matlab, batch, shell, c/c++ (preferred)
  • Familiar with RF lab test equipment and tools (required)
  • Knowledge in project management standard practices and tools (MS project, Wrike, Asana, etc.) (preferred)

Mechanical Engineer
Looking for challenging projects working in space or on multi-disciplinary problems?

AEM Antennas is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who has an entrepreneurial drive to work closely with customers and hands on experience to drive the project forward using state-of-the-art tools.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Use an array of design tools to design mechanical components for space
  • Work on R&D efforts and prepare proposals for future projects
  • Choose and optimize manufacturing processes (CNC machining, 3d printing, folding, etc.)
  • Perform structural and thermal FEA analysis
  • Work closely with electrical antenna engineers to guide the design and determine best tolerancing strategies
  • Manage suppliers to ensure careful manufacturing and assembly of antenna products
  • Collaborate with customers in design reviews
  • Supervise the assembly and review tests to ensure projects meet the specification
  • Project management tasks to verify and report design progress in terms of time, cost, and schedule
  • Any other tasks related to the above
